Skinetica Blemish Treatment

There has been so much talk about the Skinetica* anti blemish treatment. I've read countless reviews and have heard a lot of positive things about it. About time I tried it myself! So, here is my little review.

I'm always looking to try new skincare products that can help my blemish prone skin. My skin type is combination and very sensitive. At the moment it's starting to become really dry but usually it's pretty oily. I also get spots now and then and sometimes it can be pretty messy. I wanted to see of this could help. The Skinetica blemish treatment comes in a bottle and is a treatment that claims to help blemish prone skin and also acts as a toner. It claims to soothe, calm and clear your skin within 2 - 3 days. This also does not contain any types of harsh chemicals so it's not harmful for your skin. I pour this on a cotton pad and apply this onto my skin making sure it's clean before hand. It feels almost like water in a way. It starts to dry in a few minutes and then I apply moisturizer. I like that it does not dry my skin as a lot of acne/blemish targeted products do this. It's gentle on my skin and didn't irritate it at all. the scent is a little strong but nothing I can't over look.
I am going to be completely honest. I didn't like this the first week I used this. I thought it did nothing. I stopped using it and then started again after I thought I'd give it another go. Some how I saw it work later on?! It has really helped to reduce the blemishes coming through. I get spots but the thing it's really helped to reduce is black heads. I know. Gross. I usually get some around the chin and nose area and that really cleared up now which I am so happy about! If you suffer from that, you know how annoying that can be.
Sometimes, I use this as a makeup base as it can also be used as a toner. It smooths out my skin which means my BB cream goes on really well. I am actually very happy with this and am glad I gave it another go!

Have you tried Skinetica before?

  2. I have never heard of this brand before but it does sound intriguing. I get spots after getting my eyebrows threaded so this sounds like a perfect little prevention for that :)
