Apivita Aloe Face Mask

One of my favourite skincare products is a good face mask. I love face masks. They make your skin feel so refreshed after using them and who doesn't love that. I use a face mask at least once a week. It's a good way to end a week really! One face mask that I have been using quite a lot lately is Apivita's Aloe face mask*.
The Apivita Aloe face mask claims to moisturise and tone the skin, leaving it feeling soft and radiant. It's targeted towards all ages and skin types. Aloe Vera is one of my favourite things when it comes to skincare. It has so many benefits as it's a great natural skin soother. It's a great little ingredient for sensitive skin too. I was reading a little about the product online and also found out that Apivita has actually replaced the water in the face cleansing range with green tea infusion in order to enhance the antioxidant action of the product which I found really interesting. The aloe face mask is also free of parabens or any synthetic ingredients.
When I first used the mask I expected it to come out in some sort of a colour and something that was very thick. It comes out white in colour but once you start to apply it becomes colourless/transparent and consistency wise it's not the thickest but not thin either. Somewhere in between where it stays put on your skin rather than having a 'runny' feel (I've experienced that before). So quite different in that sense. I apply this and leave it on for a about 15 minutes and then wash it off. Firstly it smells very fresh and exactly like aloe vera. It's quite refreshing and I like the different scent to it. It's very gentle on my skin as well. After about ten minutes it almost starts to dry on your skin but can be washed off very easily. I agree with what Apivta said about the mask helping to moisturise the skin and keep it feeling soft. Skin feels so much softer and very smooth after an application of this. A lot of masks tend to dry the skin out after a few minutes of rinsing them off but this one really does lock the moisture into your skin. You wouldn't necessarily need a  mosituriser afterwards but I usually apply some anyways. I like that it's hydrating because right now anything that claims to hydrate, I'll use it. Dry weather is fairly annoying as it affects my skin really bad so this is a nice little treat. With ingredients such as Jojoba seed oil, Shea butter, Honey and ofcourse aloe vera it really is lovely. I use this every week as it's great for this time of the year. Really does add moisture back into my skin, reduces redness (aloe vera!) and almost tightens my skin especially the pores.

Do let me know what you think and if you've tried any Apiviat products?

  1. This sounds like a great face mask for me, I have a lot of redness from old spots and stuff so something containing aloe vera like this could be perfect
