L'Oreal Matt and Messy Salt Spray

Salt sprays are so the 'in' thing these days. And I get why as well. As you know, I adore (love) my Fudge salt spray alot but I wanted to try out some other ones so I decided to pick up the L'Oreal matt and messy shine free salt spray. Firstly, 'matt' is irritating me. Why not 'matte'?  haha
I am really into the whole textured hair thing at the moment. Anything that looks effortless really.

Does her hair not look amazing? I want her hair and I thought well maybe by using this my hair would some what become 'similar'. It's a texturising salt spray that promises to add a lift and definition to your hair. It's not greasy at all and is neither a product that weighs your hair down. I have been using for the past couple of weeks by spraying it into damp hair as well as dry hair and I can now safely say it's not really doing anything for me. I am not amazed by it. I have tried it alot but I just feel it's not really adding any sort texture to my hair. It kinda added waves but no volume which is what I was hoping for. I also really dislike the scent to it which is really strong. I can't really put my finger on what it is but it's very alcohol like. The only thing I do like about it is that it really is matte. It's not shiny so it mattifies your hair really well which is really in at the moment. Like the majority of salt sprays it does have a slight drying element but not alot.
On the other hand, it works really very well for my sister who has different hair to mine. Her hair is alot thinner than mine. I sprayed it on her hair and it gave a gorgeous effect. Very defined waves, matte and alot of volume.
So from that I concluded that maybe this is alot better for people who have thinner hair rather than girls who have thicker hair like mine. That sucks really as I had high hopes for it after reading many positive reviews about it! I added a picture of my hair  (yes not the best) so let me know what you think. It may look alot fuller in the image but in real I am not too keen. A friend of mine also got it and she loves it. Her hair actually looked beautiful when she had it on.

Have you tried this salt spray?
What's your favourite salt spray?

  2. you should spray it into your hair, scrunch the ends and then put your hair into a loose plait. the plait will help add the extra bit of texture to your hair and hopefully the spray will take (: x
