Avenue 32 - Chalayan

Avenue 32 is a site that I seem to stumble upon 'accidentally' alot of times. They have an array of designers and beautiful clothing and for me that's alot of inspiration. I do love fashion alot and really like to see pieces where the designs have an artistic form.

I am sure you guys would have heard about Chalayan. I studied about his designs during my art and design projects because I love the structural and sculptural forms and aspects to his creations. He's quite an inspired fashion designer for me. I really admire fashion when it has an artistic quality to it, like I said, but it's still wearable and his designs show that clearly.
So, I wanted to share some of my favourites form his spring/summer’13 collection. This current collection is inspired by sportswear which is not something I usually pay attention to but this is really well presented and put together! It's something a little different from your normal spring-summer inspired clothing.  I love alot of the pieces and thought I'd share my favourites. The fabrics are all beautiful and so are the colours.

I love the use of white in this collection as white really just says summer to me. It's crisp, it's clean and looks great on all. And these blazers are so elegant. They have such an elegant and crisp quality about them but the pop of lime green and yellow adds the fun element, thus you'll still stand out! And who doesn't love a white dress? I have an abundance of white dresses because they're so versatile. If you go over to their site, you'll be able to get a closeup of the fabric of the dress which is gorgeous!

I love the monochrome dress addition as well as the blush/peach dress. The simplicity of both the dresses is what pulled me towards them. Oh and how gorgeous is the textured print on the monochrome dress?! That dress really takes shape once on (as you can see on the model on the site) and the sheer overlay on the white just adds a gorgeous touch.
When I looked at the peplum top and tank top, I think the sportswear inspiration was probably the most obvious. I am loving the colours of both the tops. The lemon and lime look amazing and bold.

This dress is my favorite. It looks simple but there's so much more to it. It's quite elegant and has a modern touch to it. Slightly futuristic too I think. I adore the sheer panel over the bold and vibrant lime green. But you can still see the bold colour on the side which is the perfect amount of lime green exposure. I adore this dress!

All the clothing can be found on the Avenue 32 website.

I would love to know what your favourite piece is from the images above :)
