Maxfactor Flipstick in Folky Pink

The idea of a 'flipstick' had me sold. I love saying flipstick! I say it all day. I purchased the Maxfactor flipstick in 10 Folky Pink and it also comes 7 other shades.
Maxfactor says: To add a new dimension to lip colour, you can sweep one shade over your upper  lip and "flip it" to apply the second shade to your lower lip. Another way to customise lip colour is by outlining lips in one colour, then  "flip it" and apply the second shade to the center, giving a graphic textured lip.
Maxfactor flipsticks are double ended creamy lipsticks. One end has your normal block colour and the other has an iridescent shade to go with the block colour. With these two colours you can use both together  on their own or layer them. I usually wear them on their own but also layer it as well which looks lovely. It stays on a really good amount of time and is so smooth when you apply it. Just glides on. Quite moisturising in my opinion as well. As much as I like matte lipsticks, this is quite a glossy finish but not lipgloss like. When you add the iridescent shade on top of the block colour it adds alot of dimension to you lip. Looks amazing. The lipstick bullet itself is a like a mini version of your typical lipsticks because its a bit thin. The colour I purchased mine in is 10 folky pink which is a gorgeous pinky red colour almost cherry red. It looks like a deep red in the tube but once applied (on me) it looks much more of a red that has pink undertones. I've seen people describing it as a light pink and bright pink but on me its a red and I don't know why! and a red that actually looks good! I've been looking for some red lipsticks recently. I've never worn a red lip in my life because I simply think it looks odd on me and doesn't suit me. But I think because its got pink undertones it suits my complexion. Once you start adding the iridescent shade on top, the red does start to become much pink though. The colour payoff is amazing. I have no issues with the packaging either.
I've got my eyes on a couple more of the shades and I'll end up getting them considering my love for lipsticks and these are flipsticks! haha

Have you tried a flipstick?

I'm glad you found a red lippy that suits you! Apparently you needed one with pink undertones. Curious how it looks on you, though! Could you send me a photo via Twitter? I'd really love to see it! :)
