Montagne Jeunesse Summer Skin Regime

Hey guys,
I recently did a review on some Montagne Jeunesse face masques and really enjoyed using them as I love that it's a natural beauty product range. I have become quite a fan and have been purchasing these quite a bit for myself as well as my mum and sister too!
I was very kindly offered to review some masques that are to be used throughout a 4 week regime to keep your skin glowing and appear fresh during summer. I was sent four face masques and there was actually a list I guess or a pattern in which I had to use them. I actually wrote down something about each of the masque every week just so I don't forget!

Week 1- I started of by using the Blemish Mud face masque*. This helps eliminate and prevent any blemishes on your skin and is a deep cleansing masque. I have added an image of what it looks like as well. This masque contains some really nice ingredients such as Aloe vera, Willow, Rosemary and witch hazel; all being some very helpful and powerful ingredients for blemish prone skin types. This mask was very cooling on the skin which I am guessing was because of the willow in it. You can easily smell the witch hazel in it as well as a slight rosemary scent too. It was very gentle on the skin as I didn't get any redness etc which I usually so when I use clay or mud masques. After it was completely dry I washed it off and my skin felt so refreshed! It literally felt like as if my skin can breath properly! haha Your skin will feel clean. If you have oily to combination skin do try this out. I used this twice! There is enough for you to use it twice.

Week 2- This week I used the Cooling cucumber peel of masque*. This is by far my favorite. I have always loved peel of cucumber masques because they suit my skin very well and feel amazing. It contains cucumbers (obviously) and citrus extracts and appears to be a transparent green colour. When I applied this, it had a very strong scent of alcohol or astringent. It did sting my skin and eyes for about a minute or so and then it went down. I just had to keep my eyes shut. If you have broken or very sensitive skin so not apply this. This is the best masque out of all the 4 for me. After it was dry I took it of and my skin just felt really smooth and fresh. Really really smooth. The next day it felt the same! It's very moisturising and doesn't make your skin feel tight. It removed any dead skin or impurities that were present there. Really recommend this one.

Week 3- This week I used the Iced Crystal Masque* which is an exfoliating masque infused with cooling spearmint which helps to cleanse and tone the skin and it also contains dead sea salt which removes impurities. This also has sweet almond and jojoba oil to help moisturise and hydrate the skin. I love the appearance of it! This is very refreshing, cooling, a very good exfoliator and a great moisturising masque. It smells just like spearmint and I actually used this masque twice as well. There is a lot in the pack! It's a blue gel masque with sea salt crystals in it. After about 15 minutes I exfoliated my face using this and it washed of very easily. This is also very cooling for your skin hence making it feel very refreshed. Your skin surface just feels and looks a lot more smoother and glowy. Very hydrating and a really amazing exfoliator.

Week 4- This final week I used Very Berry* which contains the juices of pressed blueberries and crushed cranberries. The fact that it has these particular berries in it, it makes it rich in antioxidants. Blueberries contain a lot of vitamins in them which makes this masque help clear blemishes and the cranberries as we all know are a great source of Omega 3 and also contain natural oils in them which makes it anti ageing. This is a very pretty masque! Just look at it. It has shimmer in it! Its pretty funny when you apply this as your face is then purple and shiny! haha Again this really helps to smooth out the skin surface, makes it glow and feel clean. Like squeaky clean but without the dryness. It really hydrates your skin and restores any lost moisture. I left it on for about 20 minutes and it washes of very easily. After you wash it your skin (or at least mine) had a bit of sparkle to it! I didn't mind that at all ;)
I think that all 4 of these masques make a great combination, especially if you are an oily to combination skin type.

Hope you guys liked this review and make sure to try some of these out as you won't be disappointed!
Have you used any if these?

  1. I used to use these masks all the time when I was a kid because I thought it was really cool to have a facemask on haha! But I do remember the peel off mask being incredibly stingy so I agree it's not good for sensitive skin.
Reading this has made me want to try all four of them again though, and I think I'm going to pop to Boots later and get 4 and see what the summer skim regime does for me...!

    1. I never used them when I was younger for some reason! :( but they are a treat!
do try it out they are pretty good :) xx

  2. Great review, I've been using these too. I've just got the berry one left to go. I really wasn't keen on the cucumber peeling mask, the others have been nice though :)

  3. I love the blueberry and cranberry mask! It's so refreshing.
    Great post xo
