Maxfactor Lipfinity Lip Tint

I purchased this Maxfactor lip marker/tint a while ago as I heard quite a bit about it. I love lip products and I haven't really tried out any lip tints before so I decided to give this a go.

The Maxfactor Lipfinity Lip Tint- 'The formula is water based and permeates the upper layers of the lips to create non-transferable layers of colour with depth and intensity that you build using the pen applicator.Get intense. Don’t get heavy. The handy pen applicator lets you contour and define then build depth and intensity, to create the perfect level of colour for you.'

I bought mine in the shade 08 nice and nude. For me it's not exactly a nude but running towards brown I guess with some red undertones. I did like this colour as it was the one that showed up on my lips the most. This lip marker is very buildable. After the first layer of colour is dried, you can apply another to intensify it. The pigmentation is quite nice too. I love the fact that it looks completly natural as thers no gloss or sheen to it; completly matte. But when I say it's matte and it's a lip marker you have probably guessed it that it's infact quite drying. It emphasizes on the dryness quite a lot. You need to use a lip scrub before hand to make sure this doesn't happen. Another thing that I didn't like about this was the amount of time it lasted on my lips. After an hour the colour had completely disappeared. I know its a lip tint and it won't stay for ages but my lips were back to their original colour and it left an outline. I had to re-apply this quite a lot.
Apart from that I thought it had an odd scent to it and if you accidently tasted it while it was on your lips, it's actually quite bitter. Alot of people find the GOSH lip markers a lot better than this one as I've heard but I personally don't know. Overall this was a bit of a let down for me as I did expect this stay on for longer :(

Have you tried this product?

  2. Wow...that's a bummer that it didn't last more than an hour. You'd think that since it's a lip tint, it would last much longer. I don't think I'd try a lip tint unless it was completely natural. Just the thought of having something like this on my lips creeps me out. Have you ever come across one that uses only natural ingredients? I'd love to try one out :)

Hope you're having a great weekend!

  3. I used to love lip markers! I had the Bourjois one, but for some bizarre reason, the shades all kinda looked samey? And they weren't long lasting either. xx

  4. Oh how I hate bitter lip products. For the same reason I avoid my Sleek Pout Polishes. :/
